How We Work Together: Our Terms of Service

Effective: 15th June 2024

Welcome to Devonshire Money Guides. We're all about making things clear, especially when it comes to money. This page lays out the simple rules for how we work together, whether you're joining a group session, getting one-on-one advice, or just browsing our website. It's here to make sure we all know where we stand, fair and square. Please have a quick read through.

1. About Devonshire Money Guides

Devonshire Money Guides, based in Exeter, provides straightforward education on global economics and personal finance. We offer individual sessions, group workshops, and online resources. Our aim is to help you understand your money better and make good choices. We are educators, we give information and tools, not specific investment advice or recommendations about financial products. Always get proper financial advice for your personal situation.

2. Using Our Lessons and Website

When you sign up for our lessons or use our website, you agree to these terms. Our content is for your personal learning and use. Please don't copy, share, or use our materials for commercial purposes without asking us first. We want everyone to benefit, but our materials are ours.

3. Booking, Payments, and Cancellations

When you book a session or course, you'll need to pay the agreed fee. All our prices are in Great British Pounds (£) and are clear upfront. If you need to cancel a session, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, we might still charge you for the session, as it's hard to fill that spot last minute. For course cancellations, specific terms will be provided at the time of booking.

4. What We Ask From You

We ask that you treat our guides and other participants with respect, especially in group sessions. Please come prepared to learn and ask questions. We're here to help, but your progress also depends on you getting stuck in. Please understand that financial decisions are ultimately your responsibility, based on the information you learn from us.

5. Our Promise to You

We promise to provide clear, practical, and honest information to the best of our ability. Our guides are knowledgeable and committed to helping you understand finance. We'll do our best to make our sessions useful and easy to follow. We're always keen to hear your feedback too.

6. Important Bit About Responsibility

While we do our best to give you good information, we can't be held responsible for any specific financial choices you make after our sessions. The financial world changes, and everyone's situation is different. Our lessons are for general education, not personal financial or legal advice. Always consider getting advice from a qualified financial advisor for your specific needs.

7. Using Our Website

Our website aims to be helpful and easy to use. We can't promise it will always be perfect or free from little glitches, but we try our best. We're not responsible for any issues you might have with other websites that ours links to. Our Privacy Policy (you can find a link in the footer) explains how we handle your data on the site.

8. We Might Change These Terms

We might update these terms from time to time to keep them current. If we make any big changes, we'll try to let you know, perhaps by putting a notice on our website. The latest version will always be here, with the 'Last Updated' date at the top.

9. The Law That Applies

These terms and how we work together are governed by English law. If there's ever a disagreement, the courts in England and Wales will be the place to sort it out.
